The term “mélange” refers to yarns that are produced by the combination of different colored fibers. Yarns are a “long continuos length of interlocked fibers, suitable for use in the production of textiles, sewing, knitting, weaving, embroidery, etc.” (Wikipedia). There are two basic classifications of mélange yarns:
- Blended Mélange Yarn: blend of two or more different fibers with fixed ratios.
